It really, really wasn’t a good idea and it’s amazingly disheartening that anybody thought it was and that there still hasn’t been a formal addressing of it. She is a brilliant musician, but I don’t know how or why she felt that the visual message of that video was what she wanted to impress upon people with her music/that particular song.

Yeah, when people ask me why I’m “making such a big deal” it’s because I love her and previously her music has been such an escape for me. It’s hard to escape when you’re being smacked in the face with the thing you’re trying to get away from.
