For apologists of the No Light, No Light video who say it’s about symbolism between dark and light:Fkhskghskg do me.
Let’s say the entire fucking voodoo-blackface-“dark” man chasing a white woman into the sanctuary of a church where white boys await her and soothe her from harm didn’t exist in this video. Let’s just examine language and how it creates connotations and how your logic is not the CAUSE of this language arise, but an explanation for it that is informed by every filter and association we have today. You already have a conclusion you’ve come to: That “humans” have “always” associated dark with bad, light with good. So you will rationalize that and justify it with anything you can. Then call it not racist.Okay! So, historically, people have always used white and light colours to wash out blood (bleach) or bleach out natural results of experience, cover up mistakes (white-out), and blind people/ disorient them with flashes and explosions. So any time someone lies or tries to cover up something or is just intellectually/emotionally dishonest, I can say that that was very white of them, or very light of them, and talk about whiteness represents mistrust. But don’t worry, that has nothing to do with actual white people — especially not if I represent dishonesty and cover-ups with white people in art and videos in comparison to the natural and honest representation of what being not-white is.
OUR ANCESTORS HAVE HISTORICALLY DONE THIS! Caveman seal of approval!
Because seriously it is very VERY white of people to defend this video and try to cover up the racism! Soooo white. But that’s nothing against white people! It’s just a white thing to do :)
